Dr. Michael Thielen from Germany is the founder and editor of Renewable Carbon Plastics (formerly known as bioplastics MAGAZINE), the first and only trade magazine dealing exclusively with bioplastics. He is a mechanical engineer with a degree in plastics engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He is the author of several books on blow molding technology and bioplastics and has shared his knowledge about plastics in numerous lectures, seminars, conferences and teaching assignments in Germany and abroad.
